Century Motorsport is thrilled to announce that Carl Cavers will be making the transition from British GT to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB for the 2025 season. After two successful seasons competing with Century in British GT, Cavers is set to take on a new challenge as he swaps his BMW GT3 for a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.
Cavers said: “A new challenge this year and back to Porsche racing, after winning the AM championship in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB in 2022 and then spending time racing in GT4 and GT3 it seemed like a great step forward entering Porsche Carrera Cup GB and to test myself in a new car. I’m looking forward to getting back to racing this year with Porsche and of course Century Motorsport. “
A familiar face within the Century Motorsport stable, Cavers has showcased impressive pace and determination in endurance racing, proving himself as a strong contender in the British GT Championship. Now, as he embarks on his debut season in the ultra-competitive Porsche Carrera Cup GB, he will be looking to build on his experience and make an immediate impact in the one-make series.
Alongside his achievements on the racetrack, Cavers was recognised in the King’s New Year Honours list with an OBE for services to the video games industry. His contributions to the sector have been widely celebrated, and now he aims to bring that same level of passion and dedication to his Porsche campaign.
“We are absolutely delighted to continue working with Carl as he makes the switch to Porsche Carrera Cup GB,” said Team Principal Nathan Freke. “His progress over the past two seasons in British GT has been fantastic, and this move presents an exciting new challenge for him. The Carrera Cup is one of the most competitive one-make championships in the UK, and we have no doubt that Carl will adapt quickly and be pushing for strong results.”
The 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup GB season will see Cavers go wheel-to-wheel with some of the country’s top racing talent, as he takes on the next step in his motorsport journey. Century Motorsport is looking forward to supporting him as he transitions into the championship.
The season kicks off at Donington Park in late April, and fans can expect plenty of action as Cavers begins his new Porsche campaign.
