Century Motorsport is thrilled to announce the return of long standing driver Chris Salkeld and new comer Branden Templeton! Building on the 2023 British GT Championship win as well as a great 2024 season Chris is excited to get the 2025 season underway. Newcomer into GT racing is driver Branden Templeton – moving across from GB4 (Single Seaters) Branden is looking to make his mark on the British GT Championship, with both drivers looking to climb the leaderboard early in the season.

Chris has said:

“Harriotts Chariot is back…. Yeaaah! I am over the moon to be returning to British GT for 2025, after a rather strange 2024. Its amazing to be returning home to Century motorsport for the year and to be pairing up with Branden is incredibly exciting! British GT has gone from strength to strength since my debut all the way back in 2021 and can’t wait to be back on the grid, live on Sky Sports F1.

Branden is a special talent and we have been working incredibly hard in the off season to get him up to speed and pass on my years of experience ahead of his debut in GT’s after a magnificent debut year in GB4. Branden is the youngest ever driver of Harriott’s Chariot at just 18yrs old but his maturity and work ethic is second to none and we’re all really excited to have him aboard. As always a huge thank you to Ainsley, Happy Drinks company, food doctor and all our other sponsors for their continued support this year and we look forward to seeing you all at the opening round.”

Commenting on his debut season Branden expressed:

” I’m absolutely thrilled to announce my debut in the British GT Championship for 2025 with Century Motorsport, joining forces with none other than Chris Salkeld and driving Harriott’s Chariot no less! Chris’s wealth of experience in British GT is unmatched, and to have him as my mentor and teammate is an incredible opportunity. His knowledge and success in this championship speak for themselves, and I’ve already learned so much from him

during the off-season. Together, we’re aiming to make a real impact on the grid this year.

The British GT Championship has grown into one of the most competitive and exciting series in the world, and it’s an honor to be part of the action, especially with races live on Sky Sports F1. Being one of, if not the youngest driver on the grid is a privilege I don’t take lightly, and I’m determined to prove myself against some of the best in the business. A massive thank you to my family and everyone who helped me get on the grid this year!”

Team Principal and past team mate to Salkeld stated:

“Welcoming Chris back for his 5th season with us is really quite special. We have a fantastic relationship and we are very grateful for his support. He is no stranger to British GT, having won the Pro-Am title in 2023 and now he is back in the Silver Cup Class partnering Branden.

Branden is a very exciting young talent who had a great debut season in single seaters last year. I’ve seen onboard footage of his first day in a GT car and it was very impressive.  With a good testing programme lined up for them, this is going to be a strong Silver Cup line up and we are looking forward to getting going at the season opener.”

The season opener of the British GT will be held at Donington Park on the 5th of April.
