Porsche Carrera Cup GB continues to be an unmissable feature of every motorsport enthusiast’s calendar. It is still the fastest single marque GT racing championship in the country. Entering the 2022 season with its 350th race, the prestigious Porsche championship returns for its milestone 20th anniversary.
But it is not only a magnetic attraction for spectators. The championship acts as the perfect audition for ambitious drivers keen to prove themselves and accelerate their progression in the world of motorsport. Focusing on pure driver skill, the championship uses identical cars creating a thrilling, close racing environment and features superb facilities for both drivers and teams.
Gus is the reigning British GT4 Champion and BRDC (British Racing Drivers Club) Rising Star. 2022 will see Gus enter his sixth year racing in motorsport, where he has worked his way up from the Clio Cup Junior Championship, to Ginetta Juniors and then Ginetta SuperCup.
In 2020 he finished second overall in his maiden season as a pro-category driver. In 19 races he got on the podium 16 times, more than any other driver! From there he joined Century Motorsport in 2021 and stepped up to British GT alongside Will Burns in the BMW M4 GT4.
Burton and Burns won both the overall and silver/silver British GT4 Championships, after accumulating a record number of championship points. This was alongside Century Motorsport’s Teams Championship title for 2021!
For the 2022 season, Gus is competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB with Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport.
