After an incredible first year of racing, 2022 GTA Rookie Champion Ravi Ramyead, will be continuing his journey in the Ginetta GT Academy with Century Motorsport for the 2023 season.
Despite no prior racing history, Ramyead stormed home the Rookie title with one round still to spare in his maiden car-racing campaign in 2022, with 110 point lead. With a dominating performance of 12 podiums out of the 13 races entered and 10 class wins, he also had a clean sweep of pole positions and fastest laps with the Ginetta G56.
“It’s great to be working with Century Motorsport for the next leg of my driving career. I have been really impressed by not just their breadth and depth of experience, but also their professionalism“ said Ravi Ramyead.
“I know that combining what Century brings to the party with my work ethic we should be able to achieve some great results together and I can’t wait for the season to start.”
This year will see him up against many of last year’s rivals, to claim the 2023 title of the Ginetta GT Academy and he is ready to take this on having put a lot of work in with a heavy testing programme with Century Motorsport.
“It’s great to have a signing like Ravi, we raced against him last year and we saw just how fast he was. His work ethic is unreal and is clearly naturally talented when it comes to racing” says Team Principal Nathan Freke. “We’ve had a huge testing programme and our objective is to win the championship with him, and hopefully have a successful future together.”
The first round of the Ginetta GT Academy will take place at Oulton Park on the 8th-10th April.
