Powerhouse Quartet Confirmed for Century Motorsport’s GT3 Entry in Dubai 24 Hour Race

Century Motorsport proudly announces the confirmed quartet of drivers—Michael Johnston, Christopher Salkeld, Darren Leung, and Sean Gelael—who will take the wheel of the second Century GT3 entry at the upcoming Dubai 24 Hour Race, promising an exhilarating showcase of skill and endurance.

This talented quartet brings a wealth of experience and success to the team, with Leung and Gelael joining the already confirmed duo of Johnston and Salkeld. Darren Leung spent 2023 racing with Century Motorsport in British GT GT3 ProAm class, bringing home the Championship and the GT3 winning title in his maiden season. Since then, he also participated in the Asian Le Mans series to maximise his endurance racing seat time.

Indonesian driver, Sean Gelael is a world renowned driver, having raced in the FIA World Endurance Championship, Asian Le Mans Series and Formula 2 and 3. The 27 year old had a meteoric rise through the ranks of motorsports, with his breakthrough coming in the FIA Formula 2 championship, showcasing his skill and securing podiums and victories. Recognising the allure of endurance racing, Gelael then participated in iconic events such as the Le Mans 24 Hours, so is no stranger to endurance racing!

Due to the unexpected date change for the race, and a clash with Daytona, Samantha Tan was unfortunately unable to make the new date.

As the countdown to the Dubai 24H continues, we are thrilled to also have Jake Rattenbury joining our other, previously announced, GT3 entry of Carl Cavers, Lewis Plato and Jack Barlow, bringing their unparalleled expertise and skill to the track. The Welsh driver has had plenty of endurance racing experience, having taking part and getting podiums in European Le Mans, V de V and Dubai 24H previously.

Each driver is poised to make a significant impact on the race, with their proven track records in endurance racing and GT racing. The team is confident that the collective expertise of these drivers will position them as formidable contenders in the highly competitive GT3 AM category, aiming for success in the gruelling 24-hour endurance challenge.
