Century Motorsport announce exciting driver line up for their BMW M4 GT3 car in the Dubai 24 Hour Series in January 2024. Michael Johnston and Chris Salkeld are leaping up from the GT4 after an astounding year together in British GT this season, and joining them will be Canadian driver and BMW Motorsport Ambassador Samantha Tan.
No stranger to endurance racing, Tan has been racing for the past 10 years all over the world and in the last 3 years alone, has topped the podium in 10 endurance races in a BMW and 2 in a Ferrari. The 26 year old has had a very successful racing career in North America, taking on the Pirelli World Challenge and Pirelli GT4 America series before moving overseas and up to the GT3 class in 2022.
Johnston and Salkeld first paired up at the beginning of 2023 in the Dubai 24H, which happened to be Johnson’s first outing in a GT4, and achieved a P3 finish with the team. After a successful season following that in British GT with Century Motorsport, winning the Pro-Am GT4 Championship title, they are now jumping into the GT3 seat to hopefully repeat more of their momentum from this year!
The second race of the Middle East Creventic Series takes place in Dubai on the 13th-14th of January, starting at 13:00 local time on Saturday. A fourth driver is still to be confirmed to complete the line up.
