17-year-old Blake Angliss has confirmed that he will be taking on a bigger challenge this year with Century Motorsport. After initially announcing the step up from karting to Ginetta GT Pro, Angliss’ new decision means that he will now be joining the main Ginetta GT4 SuperCup grid for the 2021 season.
The team are confident that Angliss will be highly competitive in the Pro-am class where he will be up against several experienced racers. Having competed in the Ginetta championships for over a decade, Century’s knowledge and experience has helped many drivers to go on to succeed in their racing careers.
Angliss:
“With my limited previous experience in car racing, my focus this season is on making as much progress as a driver as possible. To do this, I need to put myself against the most competitive field I can and that led to the decision to move classes.
“Arguably the most exciting part of this is getting the chance to race the full Ginetta G55 GT4. It’s a huge step up from the G40 I raced last year, but it’s the ideal car to learn GT racing in. I’m looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead and I can’t wait to get the season underway.”
The Ginetta GT4 SuperCup season commences on the 12/13 June at Snetterton circuit. Ginetta recently announced this revised date in order to maximise the opportunity for fans to attend the event.
