Century Motorsport are delighted to welcome Dunlop MSA British Touring Car racer Ollie Jackson as the latest driver to join their Ginetta GT4 Supercup team for the 2015 season.
Jackson, who recently announced his plans to race in the TOCA support series, is no stranger to Ginetta machinery. The Reigate native recently finished second in class at the 24 Hours of Dubai with Tom Oliphant as one of his team mates and Century Team Principal Nathan Freke engineering his Ginetta G50 for the unique season opening event. Aiming to put a difficult 2014 season behind him, Jackson is clear about his intentions for 2015: “I’m really excited about entering the Ginetta GT4 Supercup this year, and I’m delighted to be competing as part of the Century Motorsport team. The team has a great reputation, in fact virtually everyone I’ve spoken to recommend them to me, and I’m sure I can be competitive straight out of the blocks with them. Having driven the Speedworks G50 several weeks ago at Dubai, shared with Tom and engineered by Nathan, I’m also confident that it’ll be a great atmosphere in the team and that I’ll have one of the best-prepared cars in the paddock. Hopefully I’ll be able to do a good job for them too and return some strong results.” Ollie went on to highlight the positive reaction he has enjoyed since making the recent announcement to move to the Ginetta GT4 Supercup this season: “I’ve had a great response from friends and fans on announcing my move to the Ginetta GT4 Supercup this year. After such a disappointing year in 2014, I’m looking forward to working with a professional outfit like Century and indulging in some proper racing in equal machinery!”
Team Principal Nathan Freke is equally enthusiastic about Ollie’s arrival at the team, which will see Century Motorsport return to fielding a three car lineup this season: “Ollie is a great guy and clearly very quick behind the wheel of a Ginetta. He will be the perfect teammate to push Tom and help Osamu during what is shaping up to be a very competitive season. With three cars in our Supercup team once again, I’m really pleased to see Century returning to the series with such a strong lineup to challenge for the title.”
