British GT Championship – Round 2 Recap (Silverstone 500)

Round 2 of the 2025 British GT Championship took place two weeks ago at the iconic Silverstone Circuit, with teams taking on the highly anticipated Silverstone 500—a demanding three-hour endurance test and one of the highlights of the season.

GT3 Driver Will Moore

Century Motorsport fielded three BMW entries for the weekend: the regular GT4 duo of Car #71 (Ravi Ramyead & Charlie Robertson) and Car #14 (Chris Salkeld & Branden Templeton), joined by a guest GT3 entry, Car #25, a GT World Challenge Europe contender piloted by Will Moore and wildcard Jon Kearney.

Free Practice & Pre-Qualifying
The team showed early pace in practice, with the GT3 guest car, #25, placing P5 in class. In GT4, Car #71 set the tone with P2 in class, and Car #14 followed closely with P3 in the GT4 Silver category. Pre-qualifying continued to build momentum:

  • Car #25 – P4 in class

  • Car #71 – P4 in class

  • Car #14 – P2 in class

Qualifying
Saturday’s qualifying session was highly competitive and produced strong starting positions across all entries:

  • Car #25 (GT3) – P5 in class

  • Car #71 (GT4 Pro-Am) – P2 in class

  • Car #14 (GT4 Silver) – P3 in class

Century Motorsport were well-positioned for a strong race result.

Race Day – The Silverstone 500
Sunday delivered three hours of intense, wheel-to-wheel GT racing. Despite early contact on track, Car #25 managed to complete the race, finishing P6 in class, showing solid pace in a competitive GT3 field.

In GT4, it was a landmark day:

🏆 Car #71 (Ramyead & Robertson) secured P1 overall in GT4, as well as P1 in the GT4 Pro-Am class, delivering an outstanding performance that moves them to the top of both the overall and class standings.

🏆 Car #14 (Salkeld & Templeton) added to the team’s silverware, finishing P1 in the GT4 Silver category and P3 overall in GT4—a fantastic result that continues their upward momentum in the championship.

To top off a hugely successful weekend, Century Motorsport was awarded ‘Team of the Weekend’—a recognition of the squad’s outstanding all-round performance across all categories.

With both crews leading their respective class championships and Century Motorsport now at the top of the GT4 Teams’ Championship, the team heads into Round 3 at Oulton Park later this month with confidence and determination.
