A DETERMINED FIGHT AT THE NÜRBURGRING FOR OMAN RACING BY CENTURY MOTORSPORT
The GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup arrived at the Nürburgring in Germany on 29–30 August, and Oman Racing by Century Motorsport arrived with one goal: to fight hard and deliver a strong result in the highly competitive Bronze Cup.
The team arrived at the circuit on 26 August, giving the crew plenty of time to get everything prepared and ready for another demanding race weekend.
For drivers Ahmad Al Harthy, Calan Williams and Javier Sagrera, the focus was firmly on preparation. Track walks, detailed discussions with the data engineers and race engineers, and valuable analysis helped the trio build their understanding of the challenging Nürburgring circuit before the action got underway.
PREPARATION AND PROGRESS
With every session providing another opportunity to learn, the team worked methodically through the practice sessions, collecting valuable data and refining the BMW M4 GT3 Evo ahead of the weekend’s main events.
The successful practice sessions gave the team confidence heading into qualifying, with everyone focused on putting together the strongest possible performance.
QUALIFYING: READY TO FIGHT
Qualifying proved to be a challenging session, with Oman Racing by Century Motorsport securing P9 in the Bronze Cup.
While the result was not where the team had hoped to be, there was no lack of belief inside the garage.
With a three-hour race ahead, the team knew there was plenty of time to fight back.
The focus immediately shifted towards race preparation, with Ahmad, Calan and Javier ready to give everything when the lights went out.
THREE HOURS OF DETERMINATION
At 14:00 local time, the three-hour Nürburgring race got underway.
Starting from P9 in the Bronze Cup, Ahmad Al Harthy took the opening stint, facing the challenge of one of the most demanding circuits on the GT World Challenge Europe calendar.
From the very beginning, the Oman Racing by Century Motorsport BMW was firmly in the fight.
Ahmad delivered a determined opening stint before handing the wheel over to Calan Williams, who continued the charge through the middle phase of the race.
The final stint then belonged to Javier Sagrera, who brought the car through to the chequered flag after a hard-fought three hours of racing.
Together, the three drivers delivered a committed team performance, fighting their way forward through the competitive Bronze Cup field to secure a strong P5 in the Bronze Cup.
A FIGHT TO THE FINISH
Starting P9 and finishing P5 in the Bronze Cup, Oman Racing by Century Motorsport showed exactly what determination can achieve.
It was a race built on teamwork, preparation and perseverance, with Ahmad Al Harthy, Calan Williams and Javier Sagrera all playing their part in a hard-fought result.
After a challenging qualifying session, the team never lost focus and continued to push throughout the three-hour race, ultimately gaining four positions by the time the chequered flag fell.
ONE RACE TO GO
With the Nürburgring now complete, there is just one race remaining in the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup.
The journey continues.
