The Porsche Carrera Cup GB arrived at Donington Park on 22–23 August, and Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport arrived in style, leading the overall championship and ready to put another big weekend on the board.
After a strong set of free practice sessions, the team headed into qualifying with confidence. And what followed was nothing short of a royal flush.
BACK-TO-BACK POLES
In Qualifying 1, championship leader Callum Voisin once again showed exactly why he is at the sharp end of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB field, securing pole position for Race 1.
Seventeen-year-old Isaac Phelps delivered another strong performance, qualifying P7 in Pro, while Michael Keohane topped the Masters class. Henry Dawes and Carl Cavers completed a Century Motorsport Masters 1-2-3, finishing P2 and P3 respectively.
Then came Qualifying 2, and Voisin did it again.
Another pole position secured a sensational back-to-back pole achievement, while Phelps once again qualified P7 in Pro. In the Masters class, Henry Dawes claimed pole, with Michael Keohane and Carl Cavers completing another 1-2-3 for the Century Motorsport squad.
RACE 1: POLE TO VICTORY
When the lights went out for Race 1, Voisin wasted no time.
Starting from pole, he controlled the race from the front and brought the car home to take a commanding victory, converting pole position into another crucial championship result.
Phelps produced a strong drive to finish P6 in Pro, while the Masters class once again belonged to Century Motorsport. Henry Dawes took P1, followed by Carl Cavers in P2 and Michael Keohane in P3, completing another dominant Masters podium lockout.
RACE 2: DOUBLE VICTORY
If Race 1 was impressive, Race 2 was simply spectacular.
Voisin once again delivered from pole, taking his second victory of the weekend and completing a sensational double at Donington Park.
Phelps saved his best result of the weekend for Race 2, producing a brilliant drive to claim P3 in Pro and a well deserved podium finish, adding valuable points to his championship campaign.
In the Masters class, Dawes continued his perfect weekend with another P1, while Cavers secured P2.
Unfortunately, an early race incident brought Michael Keohane’s Race 2 to an early end, forcing him to retire.
A ROYAL FLUSH AT DONINGTON
