The British GT Silverstone 500 delivered a true festival atmosphere at Silverstone, as fans gathered in force for one of the standout events of the UK motorsport calendar. Century Motorsport arrived ready for battle, fielding a striking line up across both GT3 and GT4 classes with two eye catching BMW M4 machines.
In the GT3 Silver-Am category, Charles Clark and Jonathan Beeson piloted the team’s powerful blue liveried BMW M4 GT3. Meanwhile, fan favourite “Chomp”, the dragon themed BMW M4 GT4, was driven by Brandon Templeton and debutant Jack Collins in the GT4 Silver class, drawing huge attention from fans, particularly younger supporters inspired by the team’s presence.
Across the race week, Century Motorsport completed productive test sessions, focusing on car development and driver preparation for the demanding three hour race. The engineering and mechanical crews worked relentlessly behind the scenes, ensuring both cars were finely tuned for race conditions.
Qualifying Sets the Platform
Saturday’s qualifying session delivered solid starting positions for both entries. In GT3 Silver-Am, Charles Clark and Jonathan Beeson secured P4 in class and P12 overall. In GT4 Silver, Brandon Templeton and Jack Collins qualified P4 in class, positioning both cars well for Sunday’s endurance challenge.
Race Day
Sunday began with the traditional autograph session, where Century Motorsport drivers engaged with fans in a packed Silverstone paddock. The team enjoyed strong interaction with supporters, including many young fans meeting Brandon Templeton and Jack Collins, an important reminder of the team’s role in inspiring the next generation.
At 13:00, the race began with Jonathan Beeson taking the start in GT3 and Brandon Templeton launching the GT4 effort. Early stages ran cleanly for Century Motorsport, with both cars avoiding multiple yellow flag incidents.
In GT3, Jonathan Beeson delivered a strong opening stint before handing over to Charles Clark, who continued the charge with impressive consistency and pace. As the race progressed, the duo climbed the order through smart strategy and faultless execution.
In GT4, misfortune struck when Brandon Templeton was hit by a GT3 car, resulting in a puncture and an unscheduled additional pit stop. Despite the setback, the pairing of Templeton and Collins showed resilience, rejoining and fighting back with determination throughout the remainder of the race.
In a true display of endurance racing excellence, Century Motorsport executed a near flawless strategy across both cars. From P12 on the grid, the GT3 entry surged through the field to finish P2 overall after three hours of intense racing.
In the closing stages, Charles Clark pushed the car to its absolute limit in pursuit of victory, narrowly missing out on P1 but securing a remarkable second place finish overall.
In GT4 Silver, Brandon Templeton and Jack Collins recovered strongly after their puncture drama to finish P4 in class, salvaging valuable points and demonstrating strong pace throughout.
