Oman Racing by Century Motorsport Fight to the Front at Paul Ricard

The opening round of the GT World Challenge Europe season took place at Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France, delivering a strong and demanding start to the year for Oman Racing by Century Motorsport. With sunny weather throughout the week, conditions were ideal for both racing and the large number of fans in attendance.

Preparation and Testing

The drivers prepared well from the start, showing strong focus and commitment to deliver their best performances. The team worked hard throughout the prologue test sessions, gathering valuable data and improving the car’s setup. Alongside their on track work, the drivers also took part in media duties and photoshoots.

Free Practice and Progress

Free practice saw the team finish P7, a solid and encouraging result. Both daytime and night sessions provided valuable experience and further understanding of the car, while the team continued building momentum heading into qualifying.

Qualifying and Race Day

The team qualified P9 in a highly competitive Bronze class featuring 18 entries. The race began confidently, with Ahmad Al Harthy delivering an outstanding opening stint, moving the BMW M4 GT4 #42 from P9 to P1 within the first two hours.

However, penalties later in the race affected the overall result. Despite this setback, Javier Sagrera and Calan Williams fought hard, maintaining strong pace and determination to recover positions. Their efforts secured a P6 finish in the Bronze class against a competitive field of 18 cars.

Overall, it was a challenging but positive opening round. The team demonstrated strong pace, excellent teamwork, and clear potential for the season ahead, while gaining valuable experience throughout the week.

A big thank you goes to the entire team for their hard work and dedication both on and off the track.
