As part of our continued growth, Century Motorsport is looking to appoint a
Number 1 Mechanic. This is an exciting opportunity to join the world of GT racing. We are seeking someone with a genuine passion for racing, who thrives in a fast paced environment and demonstrates excellent work ethic, organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Responsible for the build and preparation of our GT cars to the required specification.
- Follow car build processes in a methodical, consistent manner, adhering to strict rules while respecting agreed deadlines.
- Report any issues and seek solutions with the workshop manager.
- Follow technical and operational protocols and guidelines.
- Be a key team member during pit stops at race events, working with precision and a controlled pace.
- Attend test and race events as required, while being based at the team HQ when not at events.
- Support garage and trackside setup and pack-down.
- Maintain high standards of daily working practices.
- Work proactively and independently when required, demonstrating a positive “can do” attitude and supporting teammates in completing tasks.
- Complete all tasks within agreed timeframes.
- Follow and actively enforce the company’s health and safety policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- The successful candidate will have a broad motorsport mechanical background with a minimum 3 years professional experience in GT racing
- Experience of always delivering quality race cars to extremely tight and demanding deadlines
- The ability to consistently work to the highest standards with an exceptional attitude towards attention to detail
- You must be able to work closely with other team members and enjoy the challenge of working in a high pressured, time sensitive environment on event
- High willingness to travel, flexible attitude to working hours including working at weekends
- Clean driving license
