The final chapter of the British GT Championship arrived at Brands Hatch, bringing with it the last race of the season, the final opportunity to fight for championship glory and one final chance for Century Motorsport to leave everything on the track. After a long and challenging season filled with victories, podiums, setbacks, unforgettable moments and countless hours of hard work, both of the Century Motorsport BMWs arrived at Brands Hatch ready for one final battle. The BMW M4 GT3 of Jonathon Beeson and Charles Clark entered the weekend fighting for the GT3 Silver-Am title, while the BMW M4 GT4 of Branden Templeton and Jack Collins arrived as joint leaders of the GT4 overall championship, both drivers sitting on 127 points. The Dragon Riders had enjoyed an outstanding season, securing one GT4 overall victory and five GT4 Silver podiums. Meanwhile, Charles Clark and Jonathon Beeson had recorded one GT3 Silver-Am victory and four podium finishes, putting them firmly in contention for championship honours.
There was everything to play for.
A STRONG START TO THE FINAL WEEKEND
The opening sessions at Brands Hatch provided plenty of encouragement for both Century Motorsport cars. In free practice, Charles Clark and Jonathon Beeson delivered an impressive performance to finish P1 in class, while Branden Templeton and Jack Collins brought the #Chomp BMW home in P5 in class. With the final qualifying session of the British GT season approaching, the pressure was on. Jonathon and Charles produced a brilliant stint in qualifying, securing P2 in the GT3 Silver-Am class and putting themselves in a strong position for the final race of the season. Branden and Jack were equally impressive, securing P3 in GT4 Silver and keeping themselves firmly in the championship fight. One final race remained.
ONE LAST RACE
Before the final race, the team headed into warm up with one final opportunity to prepare the cars for the championship decider. Charles Clark and Jonathon Beeson once again showed the pace of their BMW M4 GT3, finishing P1 overall, while Branden Templeton and Jack Collins placed the BMW M4 GT4 P2 in GT4 Silver. Everything was ready. The cars were prepared. The drivers were focused. The team had given everything. It was time for the final race of the British GT season.
CHAMPIONSHIP GLORY AND A PROUD FAREWELL
When the chequered flag finally fell on the British GT Championship season, Charles Clark and Jonathon Beeson had done exactly what they needed to do. The Century Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 crossed the line as the GT3 Silver-Am class winner, bringing home one final victory to close an incredible campaign. More importantly, the result secured Charles and Jonathon the title of GT3 Silver-Am Vice Champions. It was a fitting way to end a season in which the pair had consistently fought at the front of the class. There is, of course, a feeling that the championship could have been theirs. The team had entered the final rounds fighting for the title, but an unfortunate run of incidents at Donington Park cost valuable points — circumstances that were outside the control of the drivers and the team. But that is motorsport.
It can be cruel. It can be unpredictable. And sometimes, despite giving everything you have, the championship doesn’t go your way. What cannot be questioned is the effort. Charles and Jonathon can now look back on their season as GT3 Silver-Am Vice Champions, and that is an achievement that everyone at Century Motorsport can be incredibly proud of.
To Charles and JB, thank you for every win, every podium and every moment of joy you brought to Century Motorsport this season. Thank you for the excitement you created every time you took to the track, and for the effort, determination and commitment you showed in every single lap. We saw you celebrate the victories, we saw you fight for every position, and we also saw you share the difficult days with the team when things didn’t go our way. Through it all, you continued to give everything you had. The effort you put in on the track will never be forgotten, and neither will the memories you have created with us. Thank you, Charles and JB, for an incredible season and for all the memories.
THE FINAL RIDE FOR CHOMP
For Branden Templeton and Jack Collins, the final race marked the end of a truly memorable campaign with the BMW M4 GT4 affectionately known throughout the paddock as Chomp.
The Dragon Riders fought through the final race to finish P4 in GT4 Silver, despite also having a penalty to serve.
It was not quite the ending they had dreamed of, but when the championship points were counted, Branden and Jack had done enough to secure their place as GT4 Silver Vice Champions.
Joint leaders of the GT4 overall standings heading into the finale, with one overall victory and five Silver podiums already to their names, their season has been nothing short of remarkable.
CHOMP, WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU
Every racing car becomes more than just a machine.
Some cars become part of the team.
Some become part of the family.
And some become unforgettable.
Chomp is one of those cars.
From the first green light of the season to the final chequered flag at Brands Hatch, the BMW M4 GT4 has given the team moments that will stay with us for years to come.
The victories.
The podiums.
The battles.
The celebrations.
The difficult days.
The moments when everything came together.
And the memories made along the way.
To Branden and Jack — thank you for everything you gave this season. Thank you for every fight, every overtake, every lap and every moment behind the wheel.
And to Chomp:
We will never forget you.
Thank you for the memories.
A SEASON TO BE PROUD OF
As the final British GT race of the year came to an end, there was time for the entire Century Motorsport team to take a breath and look back at what had been achieved.
Two championship runner-up finishes.
A GT3 Silver-Am class victory in the finale.
A GT4 overall victory.
Multiple podium finishes.
Countless battles.
And, above all, a team that never stopped pushing.
None of this would have been possible without the people behind the scenes.
To every member of the Century Motorsport team who worked tirelessly throughout the season — in the workshop, in the garage, on the pit wall, in engineering, logistics, media and every other role that keeps a race team moving — thank you.
Your effort, determination and commitment carried us to this point.
To our sponsors and partners, thank you for believing in us, supporting us and being part of this journey. Your continued support means more than we can put into words.
And finally, to our drivers.
Thank you for putting everything on the line.
Thank you for trusting the team.
Thank you for fighting until the very last lap.
And thank you for giving us a season to remember.
