Nathan Freke is pleased to announce that he has been made a full member of the British Racing Driver’s Club,
Nathan, who was Formula Ford Champion of 2006 and has recently returned to GT3 in April, became a BRDC ‘Rising Star’ over 10 years ago, which helped him with his early career successes.
The 2006 Champion said of the news “Becoming a member of the BRDC has been one of the biggest ambitions in my career. For me, it’s the ultimate recognition of my achievements. Racing hasn’t always been easy for me, always facing budget issues, so this has made receiving the membership so much more rewarding.
I’ve got quite a few people to thank for helping me become a member, which I will do in person. I also have a long list of people to take as my guests to the great events held at Silverstone who have been instrumental in my career… My parents will be first in line!”
Nathan will be racing in the GT3 series this year in a heavily revised Ginetta G55 as well as helping a number of other drivers in his role as Team Principal for Century Motorsport.
The BRDC is the most exclusive motor racing club, with members including the most successful drivers in the UK.
Membership of the British Racing Drivers’ Club is much coveted and very hard to achieve – it is only offered to those people who have met the high entry criteria and achieved the highest levels of motor racing or made a contribution to help others to do so in the sport.
The BRDC takes its responsibility as ‘Guardians of British motor sport extremely seriously. Not only does it maintain and operate the only circuit licensed to run a Grand Prix in Great Britain, it has also helped many young drivers to realise and develop their talent. These factors have undoubtedly contributed to Great Britain retaining its high profile and success in motor sport. This is a huge source of pride to the BRDC and its Members.
