Century are pleased to announce that Dominos franchise owner, Henry Dawes will be returning to race with them again in the GT4 SuperCup 2022 season, in the new Ginetta G56.
Dawes teamed with Century last year to race in the Ginetta GT4 SuperCup in his Dominos car and enjoyed a successful full season together. This year he is hoping to add some silverware to his collection. Before teaming with Century, Dawes raced mainly in the VW Fun Cup since he began racing in 2011, but also took part in Britcar, Legends and GT Cup.
Dawes said: “Last year was a massive step up for me and I loved it, this year will be another step with the new, more powerful Supercup car but I’ve really enjoyed the couple of times I’ve driven it so far and feel a lot more comfortable with it than this time last season. I can’t wait to get started and hear all those V8’s on track together!”
Nathan Freke, team principal, added: “I’m really pleased to be working with Henry for another year. He’s a great guy to have in the team and he’s taken to the new car like a duck to water. We have a good testing programme and I’m hoping we can see him on that podium in 2022! It’s also nice to be talking the step up with the new Ginetta G56 GT4. We have taken delivery of the car and it’s nice to see how Ginetta have developed various areas of the car along with giving it a lot more power. It’s a very nicely rounded car so credit to them.”
The Ginetta GT4 SuperCup season will run over seven race weekends, supporting the BTCC and commences on the 14th and 15th May at Brands Hatch.
