Freke and Stinton team up for British GT4 finale

Century Motorsport are set to field an extended GT4 line-up at the season finale in Donington Park this coming weekend, as former British GT4 runner-up and Team Principal Nathan Freke returns to the hotseat. Joining the former McLaren Autosport BRDC Award nominee will be Ginetta G55 GT3 regular, Ian Stinton.

Racing in the team’s second Ginetta G55 GT4, the team will race along side British GT4 Silver Cup challenger Aleksander Schjerpen, who is joined once again by British GT newcomer, Fredrik Blomstedt.

Both Stinton and Freke have separately been British GT4 race winners in the past, before joining forces in recent years in Ian’s Stark Racing run Ginetta G55 GT3. More recently the pair contested selected rounds of the GT Cup and Britcar series, before Stinton opted to take a temporary break from competition with the arrival of a wonderful new baby.

With Century returning to the front of the field last time out at Snetterton, the team will be aiming for a repeat performance in the two-hour final round shootout on Sunday afternoon.

Nathan Freke – #73 Ginetta G55 GT4:
“It’s great to get back behind the wheel in British GT. I have raced with Ian last year and we had some great success together.

It’s also nice for the team to be turning up to the season finale with 2 cars.
We will be looking for a good result and hopefully we can get both cars on the podium.”

Ian Stinton – #73 Ginetta G55 GT4:
“It’s great to be back out in British GT and I’m looking forward to racing with Nathan in GT4, the idea being this could lead to a full GT4 campaign for 2016.”
