Century to enter 2021 GT Cup in Aston Martin GT4 with Holloway and Hatfield

Century Motorsport are entering the 2021 GT Cup championship in a brand new GT4 spec Aston Martin Vantage, with David Holloway and Adam Hatfield behind the wheel.

It is great for the team to be racing a locally built car – the Aston Martin was built just a few miles down the road from Century’s headquarters, at the Aston Martin Racing factory in Banbury.

Having competitively raced against each other in GT Cup back in 2018 [Hatfield – GTH Class Champion, Holloway – GTH Class Vice Champion], Holloway and Hatfield recently made the decision to join forces instead, choosing multi-championship winning team – Century Motorsport – as their support outfit for the 2021 season.

Neither Holloway nor Hatfield are strangers to the Fenny Compton based team. Holloway competed in the 2018 and 2019 GT Cup with Century [in a Ginetta G55], whilst Hatfield raced with the team in last year’s British GT Championship [in a BMW M4 GT4].

The team and drivers are eager to get the season started and are excited to see what they can achieve together in the brand new Aston Martin Vantage GT4.

Nathan Freke, Team owner:

“It’s great to welcome David and Adam back to the team, and for us to be returning to the GT Cup Championship for another season. They will be a very fast pairing and our aim is to win the GTH championship.

It’s also very exciting to be starting a new chapter with Aston Martin. We have recently taken delivery of the new car and have a good test programme planned.

It’s a new venture for us, but one that we are relishing!”

Holloway:

“It is great to be reuniting with Century Motorsport and Nathan and also great to be returningto GT Cup – it is such a great championship with great people. I am looking forward to getting back to racing and partnering with the previous GTH and GT Cup Champion Adam Hatfield.

Last time out we finished runners up, we are aiming higher this season bringing the awesome Aston Martin GT4 to the battle. Can’t wait to dust off the race boots and go racing.”

Hatfield:

“Really excited to be returning to GT Cup for 2021 with Century Motorsport and David in the new Aston Vantage GT4, I know the team well from last season and have known David a while now so it’s great to get a deal together, can’t wait to get going!”
