Race season is now well underway for Fenny Compton based Century Motorsport and they have yet another exciting announcement. David Holloway, Piers Johnson and Phil Ingram are the trio of race drivers who make up Marlin Hawk Racing. All three talented Marlin Hawk drivers will be racing with Century Motorsport this season in their new Ginetta G55 GT4, hoping that Century will help them to get the very best from their new car. They will be entering the GT Cup, along with one Britcar race and the final race of British GT.
Holloway will be driving at every event with Johnson and Ingram taking it in turns to partner up with Holloway. Currently, their race calendar with Century includes the following:

In 2016, Holloway joined Ginetta Racing Drivers Club at the age of 44 with no track experience whatsoever yet managed to pick up a podium in his first ever race. He then graduated to G40 Cup in 2017 where he finished the championship in sixth position.
Northamptonshire based Ingram has had a successful couple of years racing so far with his debut as a rookie in Ginetta GRDC in 2016 where he claimed victory in all eight rounds of the championship. He then moved up to GRDC+ in 2017 where he finished in third place overall, with a total of thirteen podiums – six of which were wins.
London born Johnson has been racing since 1990 where he started off in a Honda Civic V-Tec in the Production Saloon Car Championship. Over the years, Johnson has raced in many different championships in a wide range of cars, including a TVR T400R in the Le Mans 24 Hour race.
The Marlin Hawk trio look to be a strong team and it is likely that they will be bringing home some silverware this season.

Holloway:
“I am delighted to be joining Nathan and the Century Motorsport team this season. Having seen their expertise in action during the test days we’ve run, it’s clear they really know how to set up the Ginetta GT4.
Following two great years in the Ginetta racing ladder, where I started in the GRDC and moved onto the G40 Cup, I am excited to be entering the GT championship and look forward to the new challenges it will bring.
Racing with Piers and Phil as my teammates is always fun and together we will be aiming high, starting with our first race at Silverstone later this month.”
Ingram:
“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Century Motorsport, racing the amazing Ginetta G55 GT4 with David and Piers. We’ve come up through the Ginetta ranks together, having had lots of fun and success on the way, so I can’t wait to race the G55 and see what we can achieve. It’ll be my first year racing a car of this category, but in testing I felt immediately at home and the pace looked good, so I’m looking forward to the first race with huge excitement.”
Johnson:
“Really looking forward to race with David, now in his third season, it’s been great helping him develop from a novice into a podium achiever. We’re now teaming up with the best Ginetta race team in Century and hope we can add some more race wins to their already impressive history.”
Nathan Freke, Owner of Century Motorsport:
“I’m really happy to be working with all the guys from Marlin Hawk Racing. We have had quite an extensive test programme so far and have made great progress. David has really settled in with the car and is turning great pace, especially when you consider he only started racing 2 years ago.
Phil took to the car like a duck to water and impressed from the very first outing, and Piers is great to have in the team. He has a wealth of experience and is a great coach for David. We have an exciting calendar, and it’s great to be back on the Brit car and GT cup grid. We are all looking forward to it!”
