Century Motorsport welcomes Nathan Freke back to Ginetta GT Supercup

Fresh from running inside the top five in British GT3 at Silverstone just two weeks ago, Fennycompton based driver Nathan Freke looks set to make a one off return to the Ginetta GT Supercup at Oulton Park this weekend with Century Motorsport and theplayer.co.uk.

Nathan, a former Formula Ford and Ginetta G50 champion is no stranger to the Ginetta GT Supercup in recent years having made a one off return in 2012 at Knockhill where he instantly returned to the podium in race two and again in race three with a win. With the Century Motorsport car freshly rebuilt from its high speed accident at Thruxton recently with James Birch behind the wheel, the team are confident that Nathan can bring the car back to the front of the field.

Team Manager Clive Freke added: “We’re really excited to have Nathan back behind the wheel of our fresh theplayer.co.uk supported G55. Having taken the highest number of round wins in 2011 and a double podium that included a race win in Knockhill last season, I see no reason why we can’t emulate that again this weekend. It came as a real shock to us that James decided to leave the team late last week, leaving us in a difficult position to get the car back out. However we are confident that despite our midfield running of late, that Nathan will prove our car remains one of the fastest in the field.”

Speaking just before leaving his Fennycompton base, Nathan Freke added: “I’m really looking forward to this weekend. I’ve enjoyed a lot of success in the GT Supercup in the past and I’m hoping I can pick up where I left off this weekend!”

Qualifying at Oulton Park starts at 10.30 on Saturday this weekend with Race 1 on Saturday afternoon at 15.55.
