Have you heard the news? Ginetta has announced a brand new category for 2021 – the GT Pro Class – supporting the 2021 BTCC across nine race weekends, joining the very same grid as the SuperCup series and offering a very attractive prize package for the winner. Ginetta stalwarts Century Motorsport will be fielding two cars in this new category and are actively seeking drivers who are ready to grow and develop their racing careers with a multi-championship winning team.
Century Motorsport are Ginetta’s longest standing customer and have competed in Ginetta series for over 11 years, winning several championships along the way and also becoming the first team to achieve 100 overall SuperCup podium-finishes. Century Motorsport alumni have gone on to take part in many prestigious events and in many elite series including the BTCC, the British GT Championship and many other worldwide GT series.

Competing in an uprated version of Ginetta’s G55 GTA car, drivers will go wheel-to-wheel in a high-performance car that offers unrivalled driving experience owing to its perfectly balanced 50/50 weight distribution and 3.7 litre V6 engine producing around 300bhp – the perfect combination for drivers looking to push their cars to the next level. Equipped with paddle shifters, the progressive car allows drivers to get accustomed to some of the changes that they will encounter should they progress to the GT4 SuperCup.
Open to drivers aged between 16 and 21, the GT Pro Class aims to bridge the gap between the Ginetta Junior and GT5 Challenge Championships up to the GT4 SuperCup, for drivers with career aspirations in international GT racing. Racing on Michelin road tyres, the category aims to provide the most cost effective way to race on the BTCC package.
Ginetta’s prize package for the GT Pro series is a further commitment to the develop the drivers of the future with the winner of the series rewarded with a SuperCup season package including – car hire, entry, fuel and a contribution to running costs, a prize pot totalling in excess of £55,000, with the runner up awarded half price entry into the GT4 SuperCup.
