Century Motorsport Strikes Gold at Croft in Porsche Carrera Cup GB Rounds 7 & 8

Last weekend (2–3 August), Century Motorsport took on Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire for Rounds 7 & 8 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB. Saturday brought wall-to-wall sunshine, while Sunday began with a heavy downpour — but by the time the racing got underway, the skies had cleared, leaving glorious conditions for the afternoon battles.

Positive Pace in Testing

Friday’s test sessions showed the team’s intent right from the off, with strong performances across all classes:

  • Test 1: George Gamble P7, Carl Cavers P2, Andrew Rackstraw P3, Angus Whiteside P5, Henry Dawes P6.

  • Test 2: Gamble P4, Cavers P2, Rackstraw P5, Whiteside P6, Dawes P6.

Qualifying Under Perfect Skies

In Saturday’s qualifying session, the Century drivers delivered competitive lap times: Gamble P3, Cavers P2, Rackstraw P4, Whiteside P6, Dawes P6 (all in class).

Race 1 – Podium Haul

With the track dry and the sun shining once again, Race 1 saw Gamble secure P3, Cavers take P2, Rackstraw come home in P6, Whiteside grab P4, and Dawes take P5 in class.

Race 2 – Back on the Top Step

The final race of the weekend delivered the standout result — Gamble charging to P1 overall, Cavers making it another double with P2(AM) , Rackstraw finishing P5 (PRO) , Whiteside taking P3 (PRO), and Dawes P6(PRO-AM).

 

Looking Ahead to Knockhill

With a weekend full of silverware and strong performances, the team now turns its focus to Knockhill for Rounds 9 & 10 on 16–17 August, aiming to carry this momentum into the second half of the season.
