Century are excited to announce the return of Angus Fender to the Century family this season, who will partner with Betty Chen aboard the new BMW M4 GT3.
Fender raced previously with Century in the British GT4 2019 series for the first 5 races, before stepping up to the M6 GT3 in the last 2 rounds where he got an impressive 2 podiums. The year prior, he achieved many podiums racing with Century in the 2018 Ginetta SuperCup.
Since then, the 21-year-old has been achieving great things in the sim racing world, landing himself a contract with one of BMW’s top esports teams, BS+ Competition, after an incredible season in the British GT Esports Championship.
Now, Fender is looking forward to returning to the track in the brand new M4 GT3 being one half of the seventh Silver-Am crew in this years British GT3 season:
“It feels great to be returning to Century Motorsport for 2022.” Fender said. “After a year out focussing on my degree, returning to the top flight of national competition is an amazing feeling, and tying in my BMW Factory sim racing commitments with BS+ Competition to now driving the epic new BMW M4 GT3 in British GT is something I am incredibly excited about, and is an opportunity I am still pinching myself about!”

He’s super fast and very level headed” says Team Principal Nathan Freke. “The sim racing aspect of it is very cool indeed. Being part of a professional team in an M4 GT3 both on the track and in the sim should result in a top performance. He will be a great co-driver for Betty and we are looking forward to getting the program underway this weekend.”
Season 30 of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship begins this weekend at Oulton Park, April 16 & 18.
