“Rosland Gold management and team are very excited for this forthcoming season.” Stuart Kinner, MD of Rosland Gold said “Both the Porsche Carrera Cup and Ginetta GT4 Supercup are extremely competitive and are both very exciting, so we are obviously extremely pleased to be part of both these championships. Gus Burton was GT4 champion last season and is really enjoying testing the GT3 Cup car, whilst James Kellett has shown what he can do in a Ginetta at the end of last season when he came in as a guest. Blake Angliss has already established himself in the Ginetta series too, so it is looking like we have a great team of drivers and are hoping for a great season too.”
“After what could be called a foundation year last season, Rosland Gold now has a bit more experience in the racing arena.” Stuart says, “To have such an experienced and established outfit as Century Motorsport running the team gives us both confidence and comfort with the launch of Rosland Gold Racing. So here’s to a thoroughly enjoyable season ahead!“
The combined success of these drivers offers high hopes for Rosland Gold Racing and with Century having a comprehensive testing programme for the Porsche, it brings a whole new exciting chapter to the team. Everyone’s sights are firmly set on winning all three of the championships they are entering this year.
Team Principal, Nathan Freke says “We are really pleased to be announcing this partnership with Rosland Gold. They had a vision of their own branded team with the best drivers available to be fighting for multiple championships. We believe we have assembled this package and are ready for the challenge.”
It’s been a big desire of Century Motorsport to compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup for some years. With the new generation 992 it provided the perfect opportunity to enter the championship on an even platform with already established Carrera Cup teams.
“Gus has proven himself over the last couple of years as a super-fast and level headed driver,” Freke explains. “We’ve had a great testing programme and will be arriving at round 1 ready to fight for victories.”
“To be returning this year with James and the all new G56 is very exciting,” Nathan says. “It was an easy decision to put him in the G56 this year for a full championship campaign.”
“Lastly, it’s great to welcome Blake back again. He had some real moments of brilliance last year and being his second year in the car, we have very high hopes of fighting for the championship with him,” Freke shares.”This is an amazing opportunity for all involved and we can’t wait to get started.”
The opening round of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB is at Donington Park on 23-24 April and the Ginetta SuperCup will commence on the 14-15 May at Brands Hatch.
