Lee Goldsmith

Lee is a Ginetta graduate who started off in GRDC, moved up through G40, followed by a season in SuperCup. He is currently in his second season of the GT Academy. He has had a few trips to the podium but really he’s here for the fun factor!

Fun fact about Lee; his first road car was a Daihatsu Charade and his dream car would be a fully race prepped 911 GT3.

Michael Johnston

Michael’s first foray into motorsport was in 2019 when he finished as runner-up in the want2race? Ginetta scholarship. And up to 2021 he had only done 3 race weekends; two in the GRDC and one in the G40 Cup, with a best finish of 3rd in his first ever race in the GRDC.

Q. Could you give a random fact about yourself?
A. As a summer job at home in the Highlands between university semesters, I was a fisherman in the North Sea. Yep.

Q. What is your ultimate goal in racing? 
A. To competitively race a GT3 car would be incredible. 

Ed Acres

Ed has been a huge car fan since he can remember, but he only started his racing career in 2021. Starting in the Ginetta GT Academy, he secured Rookie P3 in his first year! Ed also secured the accolade of “Most Overtakes in the Championship”. He continues in the 2022 season with Century Motorsport.

He is proud to be able to use his racing to help others. Over the last year he has raised more than £5,000 for the charity Framework Housing Association by “Racing for Homes” to raise awareness of the continued plight of homelessness within the UK.

Q. Could you give a random fact about yourself?
A. I have a British Bulldog Called Bobo who is awesome!

Q. What is your dream car? 
A. Ferrari F40, or Bugatti Chiron.

Q. What’s your favourite track? 
A. To drive, Oulton Park. For successes, Donnington GP. And for awesomeness, Silverstone GP!

Q. What is your ultimate goal in racing?
A. Always ensure racing remains fun!

Tom Hartley Jnr

Tom’s business specialises in the buying and selling of the worlds greatest cars, and cars have always been a part of his life. But, his racing career is just beginning. He started in 2021 racing in the Ginetta GT Academy where he came 6th overall, gaining two podiums and a fastest lap. He continues in the GTA with Century Motorsport in the 2022 season.

Q. What is your dream car? 
A. Steve McQueen’s Jaguar XKSS.

Q. What’s your favourite track? 
A. Spa.

Q. What is your ultimate goal in racing? 
A. To win the Monaco Historique Grand Prix.
