Dawes joins Century for a slice of SuperCup action

Henry Dawes, who operates a Domino’s Pizza franchise in Scotland, has made a commitment to Century Motorsport for a full season of the Ginetta GT4 SuperCup this year.

Dawes has been racing since 2011, mainly in the VW Fun Cup but he has also had some outings in Britcar, Legends and GT Cup.

One of Dawes early highlights in his racing career was back in 2012 at the Spa 25 Hours VW Fun Cup – he and his teammates finished with a victory in class along with securing fifth place overall out of over 100 cars.

Some of Dawes most recent VW Fun Cup achievements include: 2017 Vice Champion, 2018 Overall Champion and 2019 Vice Champion.

Dawes has achieved some incredible endurance-race results over the years. His decision to join Ginetta’s longest standing customer [Century Motorsport] to support him in his SuperCup debut, should see him achieve some results to be proud of this year.

Nathan Freke, Team Owner:

“I am really happy to have Henry as part of our Supercup campaign. We saw him race the G55 last year and were really impressed with his pace so when he got in touch about Supercup we were very keen to make the deal happen. He’s a great fit and we are very much looking forward to working with him.”

Dawes:

“After getting behind the wheel of the G55 at the end of last year I knew I had to race it at the top level, the combination of the GT4 Supercup and the expertise of Century Motorsport were the perfect fit. Being relatively inexperienced in sprint racing, the knowledge and support of Nathan and the team will be invaluable and I just can’t wait to get started.”
