The two time British GT Champions, Century Motorsport are set to return in 2022 with a confirmed three car entry. Century will be entering their title winning GT4 M4’s alongside the brand new M4 GT3. 2019 was the last time Century entered a GT3 on the grid. 2022 will see at least one car on the grid, which is due for delivery in early 2022, but a second one could be on the cards and is reserved subject to availability and driver interest.
After securing the teams and driver’s championship, last round out at Oulton Park, Century became the first team, since 2015, to be crowned champions before the final round of the season.
After claiming their first British GT4 titles back in 2018, Century and BMW relationship has continued to grow and has helped Century secure not only one GT3 but potentially two.
Century will be the only British team to receive the GT3 in 2022. Off the back of an incredible season in 2021 Team Principle, Nathan Freke, is seeking to find a suitable pairing to race Century’s brand new M4 GT3 in 2022.
Nathan Freke
“We’ve enjoyed an incredible season in GT4, which has helped us secure the new M4 and BMW’s backing for next year,” he said. “We’re already talking to a few drivers about the first car, which we’ll get our hands on in the New Year, but are keen to hear from anyone interested in joining a programme.
“Securing an M4 GT3 for next season is very difficult even with official ties, as we have, and impossible without them given the global demand. So this represents the only realistic opportunity for someone to race the car in Britain next year.”
