Following a three year departure from single seater racing, former Ginetta G50 Champions and 2013 British GT4 Runners up Century Motorsport look set to make their single seater return in 2014.
Run by former Formula Ford Champion Nathan Freke, the team are proven winners in every class they have entered during their 11 year history. Keen to expand their team for 2014, Century identified the new look Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship on the British Touring Car support package as the ideal series to enter.
Having already attended one of the championship’s ‘sampler days’ in Rockingham last week, Nathan is very optimistic that they will have two cars under their banner for 2014. “We’re hoping to run two cars next year along side our strong Ginetta Supercup and British GT programmes. When we looked within the TOCA paddock for a class that was right for us, Formula Ford was top of that list. We’ve got plenty of experience with these cars and it’s a very cost effective way to get onto the UK’s premier motorsport platform, with lots of exposure available. We’ve spoken to a number of drivers already and would welcome anyone to contact us to discuss our package further.”
