Marangoni Tyres Full Conditions

MARANGONI LIFETIME WARRANTY – FULL CONDITIONS
AND DETAILS OF HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

To make a Lifetime Warranty claim, please first call Century Motorsport to inform them that you plan to return your tyre for inspection. You will have to cover the cost of returning the tyre to Century.

The tyre will be inspected by Century within 24 hours of its return to them.

You will be contacted by Century within 24 hours of the tyre inspection. Century will inform you of the following.

  • Whether they accept the claim as irreparable accidental damage*, or as a manufacturing defect**.
  • If the tyre has been subject to obvious misuse, or malicious damage the claim will be rejected. The tyre can then be returned to you at an agreed shipping cost.
  • If the tyre is accepted as a genuine Warranty claim, a replacement tyre will be offered at an agreed cost, in line with the Warranty application rules set out below.

*If the tyre is subject to an accidental damage claim, then the carriage cost incurred by you to return your tyre will be non refundable. Any discount applied to the cost of the replacement tyre will be agreed as per the Warranty application rules set out below.

**If the tyre is found to be subject to any manufacturing defect, Century will reimburse the cost of you sending the claim tyre to them (proof of postage costs are required). The discount to be applied to the cost of any replacement tyre will be agreed as per the Warranty application rules set out below.

WARRANTY APPLICATION RULES

Subject to the warranty conditions being adhered to by the user –

  1. A tyre with 80% or more of the original tread remaining will be replaced with a new Marangoni tyre of the same size and type (or corresponding type).
  2. In the replacement of tyres with less than 80% of the tread remaining, the user will be charged a percentage of the cost of the tyre equal to the percentage of the tread used (the difference between the tread depth of the new tyre and the remaining tread depth)
For example – If the original tread depth was 8mm, and the warranty claim was made when the tyre had 6mm tread remaining, this would mean 25% of the tread had been used. You would then be billed at 25% of the cost of a new tyre*. If the remaining tread depth was 4mm, that would mean 50% of the tread had been used. You would then be billed at 50% of the cost of the new tyre*.
  3. In the case of the remaining tread depth being equal to or below the UK legal limit, the warranty is invalidated.

N.B – Fitting and balancing costs incurred during replacement of tyres subject to a warranty claim, are in all cases the full responsibility of the user. *The percentage discount will be calculated based on the invoice price of the tyre at the date of the original purchase.
Carriage costs to send the replacement tyres will in all cases be payable by the user.
