Bartholomew & Mitchell set for GT4 Supercup finale in Brands Hatch with Century Motorsport

century-motorsport-jack-bartholomew-brands-hatch-previewFresh off the back of a strong return to the PRO class in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup at Silverstone just over a week ago, Century Motorsport are delighted to announce their strongest line-up so far this year, with Jack Bartholomew joining Jack Mitchell for the final rounds of the 2016 Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup in Brands Hatch this weekend.

Mitchell looked set to challenge the championship regulars during Silverstone’s pre-event practice, but not getting the best run from the dry part of qualifying on Saturday morning and being forced into retirement on the green flag lap in race one put him on the back foot for the weekend. Nevertheless, the former Ginetta Junior champion put on a mature recovery drive through races two and three around the notoriously difficult-to-pass Silverstone National circuit, earning him a top five finish in the final race of the weekend. With the benefit of a weekend’s worth of experience under his belt, Jcentury-motorsport-jack-mitchell-brands-hatch-previewack will certainly be one to watch this weekend.

Challenging for the overall British GT4 title right up to the final round in Donington Park, Ginetta newcomer Jack Bartholomew is sure to make a big impression at the sharp end of the field this weekend. Already familiar with the Grand Prix configuration of the Kent circuit from earlier this year in British GT, Bartholomew will be aiming to hit the ground running as he acclimatises himself into his Ginetta G55 for the weekend.

Jack Bartholomew – Century Motorsport Ginetta G55 GT4:
“I am really looking forward to joining the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup. This weekend seemed like a great opportunity for me to race in a car I have never driven before. It was a Ginetta which beat me to the British GT4 championship this year and I wanted to try it for myself.”

Nathan Freke – Team Principal, Century Motorsport:
“I’m really looking forward to the final rounds in Brands Hatch this weekend with our strong line up. To have Jack Bartholomew join the team for the last round is really exciting. We’ve raced against him all year and know how fast he is. He’s also very friendly with Jack Mitchell, who performed very well in Silverstone on his debut, so I think they will push each other and hopefully get some great results.”
