2015 Championship winner Kellett returns to GT5 Challenge with Century Motorsport

Race season is fast approaching and Fenny Compton based Century Motorsport are delighted to announce a new signing for the Ginetta GT5 Challenge – James Kellett. Leeds born Kellett, won the 2015 Protyre Motorsport GT5 Challenge, with an impressive ten race wins and eighteen podiums out of the twenty-one races. Having not raced for three years, Kellett is very excited to be getting back behind the wheel of the Ginetta G40 to hopefully emulate his 2015 success.

Kellett, 20, is looking to work his way up the ladder with Century Motorsport and believes the Ginetta GT5 Challenge is the best place to begin. Having a podium percentage of over 50%, Kellett is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Kellett says:

“I’m over the moon to announce that I will be racing in the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge championship this year with Century Motorsport.

After nearly three years out of racing, I’m back!

Hard work and determination behind the scenes really does pay off, as you never know what’s around the corner. I’m really happy to sign with Century motorsport this season as they have proved themselves as one of the best GT teams out there after winning multiple championships.

Ginetta GT5 is the perfect progression up through the Century Motorsport ladder into GT and Endurance racing that I’ll be looking to do in the future.”

Nathan Freke, Owner of Century Motorsport, says:

“This has been quite an out the blue signing, but one that is very welcomed. An opportunity came up to work together at the media day and things have just gone from there.

The history James has with the GT5 is fantastic and he will be a great addition to the team. Between James and Max we have a very strong line up this year.”
