Century Motorsport

13, unlucky for some – but not for Century!

The Dubai Autodrome holds the 13th annual Hankook 24H Dubai with the race kicking off at 2PM local time today. Can Century Motorsport get a podium spot for the third year running?

Having not raced on a track in the dark before, Mark Farmer (British GT3 Championship winner with team mate Jon Barnes and also proud BRDC member) and Dom (Dominic) Paul enjoyed their first experience of this in night practice yesterday evening (Thursday 12th) after the team secured pole position in TCE series during qualifying earlier that afternoon.

The winning lap time was a speedy time of 2 minutes and 7.8 seconds. Jon Barnes (British GT3 Championship winner and proud BRDC member) got this lap time with fifteen minutes to spare and the team were thrilled. Jon was delighted with such a fast lap time and he, along with the other drivers, has a very positive attitude with the ultimate desire to get that pole. The whole Century team have been working hard over the last few days in order to help make this happen and they are now ready for any instance that might occur.

The warming up session for the big race has now started with Nathan Freke (Team Principal and proud BRDC member) out on track in the 23 degree heat.

It is going to be a very long and challenging day for the entire team – let’s hope Century can make the hat-trick of podium finishes at the Hankook 24H Dubai.
